Come and join us as an Engineering Specialist – Electrical where you will be responsible for coordinating and management of the equipment maintenance programmes on the plant. This is a 2.9.2 appointment in terms of the MHS Act.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Maths and Natural Science) – please attach certificate.
- Electrical Technical Trade Test – please attach certificate.
- N4 / S2 qualification – electrical heavy current is preferred – advantageous.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in the maintenance of Electrical Distribution Equipment and Drive Systems, equipment related thereof namely Transformers, MV Switchgear and Protection Systems, LV Switchgear & MCCs, AC & DC Motors and Variable Speed Drives.
Additional Requirements:
- Competent with MS Office Suite, SAP PM and Teams.
- Must be completely familiar with risk assessments procedures (A2 safety).
- Must be completely familiar with energy identification and isolation methods.
- Completely familiar with site specific MV reticulation and associated equipment.
- Must demonstrate advanced skills to troubleshoot, repair and maintain MV and LV electrical systems and major equipment within area of responsibility (e.g. GMD’s, transformers, MV switchgear, earthing systems, protection schemes etc.)
