Job Summary

Umnotho we Afrika Training and Skills Centre – Various positions (Learnership, 12 months and Internship, 18 months). Umnotho is a non-profit company, based in Pretoria, currently hosting a government funded programme (in partnership with some Traditional Councils in and around Kwa Ndebele area) which aims to provide job creation through skills development in various fields. The programme will be rolled out in the following areas, Sun City A (Epalamende Royal), Sun city AA, KwaMusi Hall, Phola Hall, Zakheni (kgaphamadi Hall), Moloto Office, Mountain View, Mgibe (Traditional Council), Engwenyameni Kameelport, Leeufontain, Allemansdrift C, Vaalbank (Manala Mbhongo Traditional Council, Loding, Esgodlweni and Bronkhorstspruit.

Role: the opportunities exist in the following fields, hospitality (hotels, lodges, B&B) and agriculture (crop and livestock) and cover the whole jobs in a hotel, from HR, training & administration, health, safety& environment, marketing (sales, advertising and public relations), finance, cashier, purchasing, receiving and stores, information technology (IT), bar tender, waiter, kitchen cooker, information attendant, housekeeping, laundry, handyman (plumber, electrician, mechanic etc..), security, bakery and pastry, restaurant attendant, events, banqueting, photography and arts as well as culture. Also jobs in vegetable, dry crop, tractor driving, balers, truck driving, planting, weeding, pesticide, fertilizer, greenhouse, harvesting, food storage, refrigeration, veterinary services, piggery, cattle, sheep and poultry (eggs), water quality as well as waste water. Essential skills and qualifications: Matric, post matric qualification and driver’s licences (driving jobs) will be considered, with people who lost their jobs prioritised. In addition to this, candidates with dual communication, written and verbal skills (especially English) will be preferred.

Remuneration is stipend based as determined by government.
